ADSL/SDSL Network Maintenance

We are performing maintenance on our DSL network. Customers may see brief periods of interrupted connectivity during this time but the work being carried out will not cause DSL disconnections.
Manchester Core Network
09/01/2008: 01:00 - 01:30
Work is required to replace a faulty routing engine board in one of our Manchester core (Juniper) routers. During this time customers with colocated servers in either IFL2 or Telecity may experience brief periods of interrupted routing/connectivity. This work may also impact DSL customer routing but will not cause disconnections.
ADSL/SDSL Network Maintenance

Due to ongoing upgrades we are migrating a network interface on one of our ADSL/SDSL core network routers to a new cable. This will cause a brief loss of internet (IP) service to all DSL customers of approximately 1 minute during the maintenance period.
BT Broadband ADSL Core
22/02/2007 06:30 - 07:30
BT Wholesale (who supply our ADSL central pipes) will be performing maintenance on the core Colossus DSL network. Work is required to move virtual paths to a different node. During this planned maintenance period there will be a 1 minute outage to ADSL/SDSL customers.
ADSL Routing Changes
We will be making some minor routing changes within our ADSL access network. Customers may experience brief interruption to their ADSL service during this time.

Mail Cluster update
Following the introduction of 3 new servers (smtp,scanner and outbound), we will soon be adding a new filestore and pop/imap frontend to our cluster.
Some preparation work is currently underway
Completion : Before the end of November.
Surfprotect upgrade
A new proxy will be added to the surfprotect cluster
Time : 21:00 Thursday 23rd November.
Dialup Maintenance
We will be performing changes on our dialup platform this weekend (beginning 25/11/2006). Some customers may notice some service disruption during this time.

Network changes
We will be performing some networks changes to better integrate surfprotect to our network and increase network resilience for surfprotect users.
Time : Second week of November.

Surfprotect upgrade
Following the increase of memory of the surfprotect caching engine, the surfprotect cluster will be reconfigured to take advantage of it.
