Denial of Service
10:00 11/07/2007We are currently experiencing interruption of external connectivity due to a large denial of service attack directed at one of our customers. Our engineers are working with our providers to fix the problem. Further updates will follow when available.

BT are currently investigating a fault on one of our DSL central pipes. Traffic on the affected pipe has been balanced
across our remaining pipes and customers may see periods of slow connectivity and/or higher than normal (ping) latency.

ADSL/SDSL Central Pipe Reduced Capacity

Due to a BT hardware failure we are currently running on reduced DSL central link capacity. BT are working to rectify the problem with their core router.
Customers should not have any problem getting online but may experience brief periods of slow connectivity and/or higher than normal ping times.

A fault was diagnosed with the IO controller on the central pipe router and was replaced by BT but the router crashed again 45 minutes later. BT are still investigating the problem but it is likely the entire router chassis and network processing engine (NPE) will be replaced.

This issue is still ongoing and being attended to by BT. Anticipated repair is between 18:00 and 23:00 during which time ADSL sessions may drop and reconnect in order to re-balance sessions across our centrals.

Email Rejection from Fasthosts

Customers sending email to domains hosted by FastHosts (a UK based ISP) will be experiencing bounced emails with notification of server blacklisting. We have had no notification from this ISP as to why email from our servers is being rejected and are attempting to resolve the issue directly with Fasthosts.

Fasthosts are looking into removing our IP address ranges from their blacklist.
