Being a school our options for accessing the internet have always been limited by having to have some form of approved content filtering system. As with a lot of schools this meant we ended up using RM as our ISP.
However, we were lured away to Exa Networks by a number of factors. These included;-
Their own content filtering system – Surfprotect – which provided us with a much finer degree of control
Locality – they are a company who are reasonably local to us
Support and Product knowledge – it is always good to be able to talk to a technician on the same level and can give coherent answers to technical enquiries
Competitive pricing – speaks for itself.
Suffice it to say that we have gone from having an ADSL connection to Bonded ADSL and currently to a Leased Line with an ADSL line as a failover all with the help and support of Exa. They even helped us find a cheap method of linking to our Junior School – Bronte House which separated from our main site by half a mile and a railway line.
