Exa Networks are one of the few business and education only Internet Service Providers (ISP's). We offer a full range of services to both state and private schools. Web content filtering should be important to you! Exa has its own LEA approved content filtering system called SurfProtect. SurfProtect is operationally managed by Exa so there is no maintenance or updates to worry about. What makes it even better; it is completely free with any of Exa's connectivity options. As well as standard web filtering, SurfProtect automatically forces safe searching through search engines such as Google for text and images. Through a simple and intuitive web interface you have full control over which sites are viewable and which are banned, all in real time.

Another reason for using Exa's services is our Pupil Mail system. A web based email product that has large easy to navigate user friendly icons and has been designed from the ground up as an easy introduction to email for younger children (up to 13). As well as being easier to navigate, it also provides a safer environment too as part of our SurfProtect family of services. Pupil Mail also includes word filtering which intercepts any mail thought to have inappropriate words contained within the text.

An exact replica of the email is then sent to a designated member of staff so appropriate action can be taken if required. Pupil Mail also includes our enterprise level Spam Filtering and Virus checking as standard.

Our range of non-contended higher speed "Business Band" products are also ideally suited to schools; especially for those which require greater upload speed than a standard ADSL connection can provide. This is perfect for schools that want to promote staff or pupil network access from home by uploading content to Virtual Learning Environments (VLE's), host web / mail servers internally or for video conferencing.
