Vigor V3100
We have always been a fan of the Vigor range here at Exa, and though not always considered as robust as some, there is absolutely no doubting there value for money.
One of the latest Vigors to hit the market is the new 3100 SDSL router, and like the rest of the range offers not only a veritable feast of options and features, but again is extremely good value for money, and is at least 75% cheaper than any of the comparable competition.
The Vigor 3100 series is a Router/Firewall for G.SHDSL broadband supporting speeds up to 2.3Mb/s. It offers multi-protocol VPN support, robust firewalling and flexible routing options.
The Vigor 3100 on SDSL is ideal for VPN or Server hosting where upstream speed is just as important as downstream.
In addition to connecting your network to your SDSL line, the Vigor 3100 includes new features such as VLAN, QoS, enhanced VPN capacity and a USB printer port. Including full packet-level firewall facilities rather than just simple 'NAT' security and port-blocking.
The Vigor 3100 also helps protect against internal Internet abuse with its content filter which can block specified sites, e.g. common email sites or keywords within URLs. Additionally, you can block Java/ActiveX applet download, as well as HTML download of specific file types (e.g. ZIP, EXE, multimedia etc.)
